1. Worked on the robot verification machine for DUV.
2. Created stainless steal weldment frame to interface with existing chassis.
3. designed poly carbonate panels to act a safety barrier that mounted to the dynamic testing machine.
•Mechanical Design Engineer 6months to present
1. After promotion within Goddard I continued work at the Robotics company but assumed a mentor role to a few associate engineers on my current project or on similar projects teams.
2. Designed 6061 AL weldment frame to mount an electrical control box suspended freestanding off the ground.
3. Performed SolidWorks FEA simulation to iterate design to meet internal requirements and OSHA requirements.
•Mechanical Design Engineer 6months to present
1. Did a deep dive on V- belt failure issues and derived that in fact the belt was sized correctly but was tensioned nearly 4 times as much as it should have been. This lead to the many failures on DUV units.
2. Presented a new tension dimension and that seemed to help about 6 months later the did a complete overhaul of the machine design and made the locomotion area much more robust.
